I forgot to post that we had a lovely dinner at the Tuscan Grill on the ship, one of their specialty restaurants.  Steak, red snapper, Italian side dishes… it was a wonderful meal.

We arrived in Koper, Slovenia this morning.  It was nice not to have to get up early this morning.  After breakfast we disembarked and walked into Tito Square.  Koper is a cute town with a people who are very proud of their city.  They are working at becoming a nice stop for tourists.

We bought tickets to Koper’s Bell Tower and climbed the 204 stairs to the top and fabulous views awaited us.  I was really glad we weren’t next to those bells when they rang on our way down.

 

 

Then we toured the palace and strolled through the streets and did some shopping.  Another place we wanted to find was the last remaining  gate to the city, Muda Gate.  We wandered back to the ship for the rest of the afternoon. 

 

It was formal night on board the ship and we got all dressed up and went to dinner.  Before dinner we stopped for several photos of each of us as couples and as a group.  The girls had fun…. The men tolerated it!  After dinner we went to the show.  The captain came out first and introduced himself and the crew.  He seems very nice and has a great sense of humor.  The show was an interesting acrobatic/strength type show.  Great time.

 

We’ve got a busy day tomorrow as we dock in Ravenna.  We are going to catch the bullet train to Florence, so off to bed for now.
